THE STETSON STANDARD
A Nod to the West
Meet the boot that carries the spirit of the American West. Designed with a classic snip toe and intricate detailing, each pair is handcrafted from supple suede and leather using time-honored techniques. Built for long days and lasting character, they’re made to be broken in and lived in.
“There's honesty in a beautifully made boot. Purpose in every detail, materials that hold up, and character that grows richer with time.”
— Emily and Meritt, Founders of The GREAT.

Time-honored
Stetson leathers are selected for their durability as well as their appearance. They are then cut, stretched, and shaped in a hand-lasting process that ensures our boots will only get more comfortable with time and wear.
-
A Solid Foundation
Premium brass nails and lemonwood pegs—which expand and contract at the same rate as leather as they encounter moisture—are hammered into the sole by hand. A hand-stacked leather heel provides comfort in every step, and welt construction allows our boots to be resoled as needed.
-
Singular Style
Inside and out and from heel to toe, our boots are defined by their attention to detail, from roper boots with subtle hand-corded shafts and hand-stitched accents on classic R-toes to statement-making women’s styles.
-
Legendary quality
It takes more than 200 steps to craft each Stetson boot, all performed by skilled craftspeople in the legendary boot-making capital of León, Mexico. The result? Boots that are worthy of the Stetson name, designed for all-day comfort and rugged durability over the long haul.

True Heritage
Our story begins in the 1860s, when John B. Stetson was prospecting for gold in the Colorado Rockies and, struck by a sudden rainstorm, quickly fashioned a felt hat for protection. The modern cowboy hat was born, and more than a century and a half later, John B.’s pioneering legacy and commitment to quality live on in everything we make, from headwear and apparel to our handcrafted boots.
